    Spitfire needs work

Meh. I have not got the price of admission, nor would I deal with the seller if I had. Just based on his advert copy. Seems like a headache that will hemorrhage money.

Where are the wildfires up in Canada ?

Northern British Columbia too. Mostly fires that stayed lit through the winter, I think. https://firms.modaps.eosdis.nasa.gov/usfs/ Here in British Columbia we have https://wildfiresituation.nrs.gov.bc.ca/map I am reasonable sure each of the Provincial Governments keeps a similar page, though...

    Spring is Here!

I gotta admit, that I was SO very impressed with a Kuhn rotary rake, that I finally went out and bought one. A GA300GM, fwiw. What impressed me, was the very gentle handling of the hay. Around here, we have had hay crops dry to a fragile state, in under ten hours from cut, typically a windy...

    Spring is Here!

I know a couple guys with some custom hay rakes, used for turning the hay over to allow heavy windrows to dry evenly. Basically, they run at road speed, flat out. 35 yards of flying hay , trailing behind their rigs on the move at 20+mph. You need REALLY smooth fields to pull that stuff off. Mine...

    Spring is Here!

I don't think you are far off in your theory. If you can't be smart and careful, be prolific, accept the losses, and still be a success in evolution.

    Machinery's 20th

Whitworth thread were very similar to BA threads, in that they stuck to a series of rules for deciding their dimensions, and the dimensions of the subsequent nut or bolt head. Off the top of my head I cannot plainly state that they were proportional through the sizes as BA was, but they also...

    JCDammeyer's 42 projects

LOL! I saw a Septic Pump truck that had two really interesting signs on the back. One said "Satisfaction Guaranteed, or Double your Sewage back!" and the other said "I only pump Septic Tanks on Weekends, the rest of the time this truck is used for bulk school milk deliveries!" As to locking...

    JCDammeyer's 42 projects

Start with Start with dusting them with Diatomaceous Earth. The Diatoms in it wear holes through the carapaces (or more clearly, the protective layer) of hard shelled insects, and it causes them to dehydrate and die. There are a bunch of other generally benign or even wholly organic means out...

    Real estate listings suck

I dealt with a Realtor in Alberta, who was a wonderful person. After we bought through her, we sent her flowers, delivered to her workplace, as well as a pretty hefty gift certificate for a good restaurant in her home neighborhood. That good. Sadly, she bailed out of Real Estate, not much later...
