    Is my Lathe Three Phase?

Nice! thanks. Yeah far cry from the poorly photocopied "manual" that came with my lathe. I'd been using the one from the German company Quantum as I think they designed this lathe, but the chinese company TopTech and a few others make it. As you can see from the diagram it's a mix of English...

    Vibratory Tumbler for Parts

I downloaded them, rotated and saved. Seemed to upload ok here. I'm on a Mac so maybe it reset the EXIF rotation values.

    Is my Lathe Three Phase?

Just noticed this picture from the web is running in the Reverse position. Seems like this is perhaps by design...

    Is my Lathe Three Phase?

Thanks! Was coming to this conclusion when I saw 3 phase has a different plug about 2 min before you posted. Pulled an image from the web of my lathe. The emergency stop button has stop and start buttons below the spring loaded door. The three position switch to the left is the direction...

    Is my Lathe Three Phase?

Hi all, So a few years back I purchased a Chinese lathe from a dealer out in Ontario - a TopTech/Quantum 250 x 500 (equivalent 10 x 22) with an 1100W 120V motor. For the last few years I have been insanely busy running my own business so only just got back to setting up my shop. The lathe...

Repair + Calibrate Mitutoyo Bevel Protractor

Ahh got it, thanks! Love this forum. So much more friendly than say PM. LOL. I am placing an order for a ton of new tools and gear at KBC, to set up my home shop, on Monday and I have an angle block set in there, so I'll use that to verify the setup. Not sure why I did not think of that...

Repair + Calibrate Mitutoyo Bevel Protractor

Yes. that is the one. To the right of the center lock down knob is the smaller black knob. The end of that shaft has a small gear that sync with a larger fixed brass gear behind the rotating assembly. Because it was not working properly I had to pull it apart and is why I know this. It's...

Repair + Calibrate Mitutoyo Bevel Protractor

Thanks. Looks like there is a repair facility in Ontario, so I'll call them on Monday to see what might be involved. Hopefully does not cost too much.

Repair + Calibrate Mitutoyo Bevel Protractor

So I purchased a Mitutoyo bevel protractor off Kijiji today. Saved about $225 off retail, so thought it was worth it. The fine adjustment gear did not work but I managed to fiddle with it to get that working. I think it's off by about half a degree in accuracy using some gage blocks and the edge...

    Lathe Leveling Mounts

Good to know! I was just going to throw them onto my mill to drill a hole for the bolt and use a Forstner Bit to counterbore for the bolt head.
