Tool Vevor Drill Bit Sharpener Improved

John, do you think that modifying the Vevor 13b to sharpen end mills is doable? I think most of us would be in the market to either buy one or try to make one ourselves if there were plans.

    Ridges on milled surface

So I tried a 2 flute end mill first to see if it was an artifact of the roughing bit, nope, still tilting to the left. I cut a section cam rocker rod I had left over from a BMW engine rebuild and mounted it in the spindle. Pulled out my new toy from the auction a few weeks back, a cylindrical...

    Ridges on milled surface

Will do. I didn't use my dial indicator to test, just set it using a square. I'll do it properly and report back. Not using the vice, work piece is fastened to the table itself.

    Ridges on milled surface

You know, I might not have. But if the knee was tipping forward why would the slope of the cut be towards the left in the X plane?

    Tool Vevor Drill Bit Sharpener

The Drill Doctor got its following not from the cheesy new version that he shows in the video but from this older version that they produced for many years. A great little machine, now I have never sharpened a 135* drill on it so I can't speak to that. The older version was made out of that...

Halton, Ontario doctors can prescribe "Nature Pass"

I work outside 9 months of the year and I love it, hate to think what my mental heath would be like if I was in a office.

Rebuilding a 10" Standard Modern Utilathe

I hauled out my crappy old Princess Auto portable band saw and removed 2/3rds of the cast iron, unfortunately the base is just bit too wide for the band saw so all the material in the center will have to be machined off. Because this tailstock is a donor from another lathe the wear pattern is...

Rebuilding a 10" Standard Modern Utilathe

I though about just using a roughing end mill but that will be a lot of chips, I might try the portable bandsaw to cut the first 3/4" off then do the rest on the mill.
