New to me Ammco 7" Metal shaper

Sometimes I think the making of the tools to do the job is more gratifying than the job it's self. And then there's just the shaper it's self, unload it tomorrow and plug it in, you'll know what I mean. ;):p

    Power probe (keep it clean)

I'm a little bit intrigued as to how well it works, and whether you would recommend it after using it for a while. I have to admit though, that title ran a shiver up my spine. I thought "my god, he's got a spaceship......" :p

I might have missed a lot, but, if I was looking for 3 thou and surface finish was of paramount importance I would grind a shear tool and take it in 2 or 3 passes.

Kamloops is our nearest "center" and the selection is pretty sparce at 2 hrs away. Vancouver is 3 1/2 hrs away and the selection isn't much better, there's just more people to compete with.....

    What Are These?

If I am interested, I am starting the truck while the wife is getting the directions and confirming availability...... I'm fortunate in that my wife enjoys a spontaneous road trip as much as I do. A nice lunch out in a new location makes for a good day all round. ;) When she spotted the $50.00...
