  • Several Regions have held meetups already, but others are being planned or are evaluating the interest. The Calgary Area Meetup is set for Saturday July 12th at 10am. The signup thread is here! Arbutus has also explored interest in a Fraser Valley meetup but it seems members either missed his thread or had other plans. Let him know if you are interested in a meetup later in the year by posting here! Slowpoke is trying to pull together an Ottawa area meetup later this summer. No date has been selected yet, so let him know if you are interested here! We are not aware of any other meetups being planned this year. If you are interested in doing something in your area, let everyone know and make it happen! Meetups are a great way to make new machining friends and get hands on help in your area.     Gottcha, the feed drive uses the existing woodruff key to drive the shaft, I'll have to start lifting weights again.

    I guess I could pull the Z axis shaft, lathe down cranking portion to 5/8" and then put a sleeve in the cranking handle in case I want to use it again.

    Looks like they are trying to reuse the X axis feed to work for the Z axis as well, I would like to have a power feed on the Z axis too but the drive shaft on my mill is 11/16" and it's not a big mill at all. Hard to believe a Bridgeport mill has a 5/8ths Z shaft.
