    Habitat for Humanity

It is a scroll chuck for a wood lathe.I can’t tell what brand it is. It likely has a thread in the back for mounting. Commonly a 1”x8tpi. It may use an adapter so that it can be adapted to different sized lathe spindles. Depending on the brand, these can cost upwards of $200-300. I have a...

@TorontoBuilder It was great meeting you. And thank you for the picture. Unfortunately, or fortunately, I was so busy I never got a chance to take pictures of my own. It was busy. Everyone is hoping that it will move to a larger venue next year. @Mcgyver You can see a lot of my work on my...

Sunday outing in Toronto (27 Oct)

I would love to meet. I usually park in the underground of the mall next door. There is an entrance on Asquith. Last year it was $8 for the day.

Morning everyone. If anyone in the GTA is looking for a little outing to try something new, you need to drop by the Scriptus Pen Show. You will truly be amazed at what you’ll see. As I’ve mentioned before, I found this site while learning the metal lathe to make pens. This is my big show of...

    Cellphone service advice

Just thought I would give an update on my cell phone journey. I tried a few a couple of phone calls to Rogers, ( 2hours of my life I’ll never get back). One that had no clue what they were doing and another that just kept reading the offers from the website. Then I went to the store. The girl...

    Collets

@Mcgyver That’s a lot of good info. That is a really good deal on those collets. It’s a little out of my budget right now, but I’ll have to try and come up with some disposable cash.

    Collets

Yes it does. Unfortunately the draw bar threads are striped, which means I need to find the time to make a new one. I don’t have a full set of collets, so I use my ER32 the most. So it doesn’t land high on the priority list.

    Collets

My 10“SM Utilathe came with 4c collets, which are very hard to source. And when you do, they are expensive. They fit, with an adapter, right into the MT4 spindle.
