  • Several Regions have held meetups already, but others are being planned or are evaluating the interest. The Calgary Area Meetup is set for Saturday July 12th at 10am. The signup thread is here! Arbutus has also explored interest in a Fraser Valley meetup but it seems members either missed his thread or had other plans. Let him know if you are interested in a meetup later in the year by posting here! Slowpoke is trying to pull together an Ottawa area meetup later this summer. No date has been selected yet, so let him know if you are interested here! We are not aware of any other meetups being planned this year. If you are interested in doing something in your area, let everyone know and make it happen! Meetups are a great way to make new machining friends and get hands on help in your area.     Ok GREAT! so this is basically a middleware which is compatible with some cheap dros like sino and vevor. So it allows to do gradual modular upgrades. The website also has some great recommendations in the doc section, thanks!

    Hi, I just bought my first lathe and looking for a dro for it. It would be nice to get one with a standalone screen but with possibility to connect to my Linux CNC laptop, if/when I decide to upgrade to a CNC. Does anyone know about any inexpensive and reliable kits?

    When we came to Vancouver we had a SINGLE townhouse option to buy for our budget. Alas, without any garage.( My wife is now traveling so I need to act fast.) This short lathe from BB is the longest that I can afford space-wise.
