I was noticing the right side has an extra collar that might get in the way. Any hints on switching the lead screw round?

As I will be mounting the unit on the other side I will send you some pictures. What I did worked well, but it's not rocket science. If it was, I did the equivalent of

After coming up with an ingenious way to hold the mounting bracket on the table of my mill, drilling and tapping the holes - and everything lined up beautifully - Turns out you cannot attache them to either side.

Schematics and Circuit Board layout with Fusion 360

Thought I would give a quick update on this thread as the discussion has been fast a furious via email with @slow-poke, who has been helping me figure out just about everything about this schematic and PCB design, and myself. We have now moved beyond that and he has so very graciously stepped...

Schematics and Circuit Board layout with Fusion 360

Man, what a difference it makes when you know what you are doing! SMT also offers a lot more flexibility on a smaller footprint. I think my basic design compares favourably to yours - like a Kindergarten drawing compares to a Rembrandt! The design and layout I used is from Yuriy, so I can...

Schematics and Circuit Board layout with Fusion 360

I will look into this and make the changes before I send you the schematic. I will be running wires up from these connectors to a DB9 socket. I did this just because the DB9s are too large to mount right on the board. There are so many types of plug in connectors, is there a particular one...

Schematics and Circuit Board layout with Fusion 360

I KNOW! And it sounds like Fusion isn't the only one that works this magic. AS far as board production, it sounds like you send the file to some board place and they send you the board back. There are lots of places online and some suggestions here I am going to check out. One place I did a...

Schematics and Circuit Board layout with Fusion 360

I think I tried the terminal blocks the other way and I think there wasn't room. Thanks for all the suggestions! I really do appreciate it. I have minimal electronics training. I'll see if I can DM you the schematic and board layout. And I'll ask for further clarification on the points...
