  • Several Regions have held meetups already, but others are being planned or are evaluating the interest. The Calgary Area Meetup is set for Saturday July 12th at 10am. The signup thread is here! Arbutus has also explored interest in a Fraser Valley meetup but it seems members either missed his thread or had other plans. Let him know if you are interested in a meetup later in the year by posting here! Slowpoke is trying to pull together an Ottawa area meetup later this summer. No date has been selected yet, so let him know if you are interested here! We are not aware of any other meetups being planned this year. If you are interested in doing something in your area, let everyone know and make it happen! Meetups are a great way to make new machining friends and get hands on help in your area.     The first day we moved into our current house (built in 1973) my son was playing with his Xbox and bzzzt a wire burnt off in the receptacle box. Now after a number of renos throughout the house there’s no aluminum wires left. Copper is way more forgiving than aluminum for the average homeowner.

    Come on John! Jig up a rotary axis on your printer and print directly onto the rod. I know you can do it! On the other hand I use compressed air to install grips on my golf clubs. You could use that method with surgical tubing.

    Interesting project. Where are you located? There is an art foundry in Cochrane Ab that does bronze castings. Perhaps they or another art foundry could assist you.

    Fresh off the printer, ER32. As printed they would actually lock together, likely wouldn’t come apart without destroying them though.

    There is a photo from slightly different angle on the website. The rear wheel is single wide cylinder that appears to run on a cylindrical track. The spokes are fixed and don’t turn. Even the engine is enclosed within the rear wheel!
