  • Several Regions have held meetups already, but others are being planned or are evaluating the interest. The Calgary Area Meetup is set for Saturday July 12th at 10am. The signup thread is here! Arbutus has also explored interest in a Fraser Valley meetup but it seems members either missed his thread or had other plans. PM Models #5 steam engine

I have the same kit, about 2 years old as well... Still in the box. How do you plan to drill the main bearing cap holes? When I first looked I thought machining a block with holes as a drill guide would be best. It needs a long drill to reach

    Upcoming Sale of Machine Shop

Auctions are hit and miss. I've gotten some basement prices on some of my tools over the years for sure. Barrie is close enough to Toronto area I feel like its a decent size buyers pool. I usually avoid auctions outside of my area - Kitchener, Waterloo and some of the small towns ~20minutes...

    Other Vevor ultrasonic cleaners?

I have a 10 Liter, not Vevor brand, but same style (got it from amazon). Its okay, not amazing, but for some stuff easier than hand cleaning. Temperature takes forever to rise. I run Zep orange degreaser, water, and sunlight dish soap. Some stubborn parts caked with old machining coolant don't...

    Anybody still using Mach3?

If anyone has a link to a breakdown/comparison of Mesa boards and their features please share. I've seen several mesa products used by various people on forums/instagram just curious if there is a chart that explains when to use a certain series from them. Thanks -Dave

    Anybody still using Mach3?

I ran Mach3 on my diy router for years, just recently switched to UCCNC. Only reason I switched is I got some closed loop steppers that: a) could run faster and Mach 3 was hanging up when I increased the kernel frequency. b) have an alarm pin on the stepper drive that was giving some false...
