  • Several Regions have held meetups already, but others are being planned or are evaluating the interest. The Calgary Area Meetup is set for Saturday July 12th at 10am. The signup thread is here! Arbutus has also explored interest in a Fraser Valley meetup but it seems members either missed his thread or had other plans. Let him know if you are interested in a meetup later in the year by posting here! Slowpoke is trying to pull together an Ottawa area meetup later this summer. No date has been selected yet, so let him know if you are interested here! We are not aware of any other meetups being planned this year. If you are interested in doing something in your area, let everyone know and make it happen! Meetups are a great way to make new machining friends and get hands on help in your area.     Fortuitous that it was still available. I remember it being a clean machine that is like a mini version of the 4m i have. There is also a 24" shaper available up near lands end if you are feeling brave.

    It definitely was the premium option back in the day. I don't think i could deal with a hand blower on a main shop forge. Its just to handy to be able to go grab tools and setup dies etc and not have your metal cool down.

    Finally cleaned up and painted the blower and added some contrasting lettering.

    I formed a wind shield out of some sheet steel and made up my blower support.

    I located a champion electric blower for the forge. The motor on it needs work but it matches the forge well.
