Very cool stuff, thanks for the detail!

    QCTP Tool holder

I'm not sure, I haven't thought about it. I have never done any blackening but maybe this would be a good opportunity to learn the technique.

    X-stop improvement for mill

Hi Peter, its the same concept for my table stops (electronically though). There is a two sided switch and as the button depresses the switch, the table stops (when in power feed mode). I have attached a photo for a reference. Before I installed the power feed, I found the exact same...

    QCTP Tool holder

As many of you have seen, I made a 60 Deg. Dovetail cutter and the reason I made it was to make some QCTP holders. I'm just about finished my first one, which was a prototype and then i'm going to batch out a bunch. I'm very please with how this is turning out..... I made this one to hold 1"...

    Radial engine build

Very cool Peter! You are an artist! Lots of interesting setups and jigs! I was also going to ask about the liner. How are you honing it to tolerance? Are you using a commercially available hone or did you make something? Are you using stones or a lapping compound?

    X-stop improvement for mill

Very nice peter! I am going to make some new X stops for my mill as well. After I installed the power feed, I discovered that the stock button stops are slightly out of alignment with the electronic feed stop switch. I like your implementation and i'm sure those are VERY solid. I'm...

    2 x 72 grinder wheel

Thanks sorrelcreek. It was most definitely a bit of a let down once i figured that the bore was out of tolerance after I thought I nailed it but in the end I think I made a better part. I found it surprising that if the ways are not perfectly level, it throws it out so much! At first I...

    Dovetail Cutter

Hi Peter, on the topic of using the unused edges of inserts, I have 2 face mills that take APKT Inserts and one of them uses the insert in the vertical orientation and the other face mill used the inserts in the horizontal position. Its very convenient to have both of these face mills and i...

    2 x 72 grinder wheel

I just did a quick job for a fellow and I thought I would share it here. It was a wheel for a belt grinder. The wheel had a 4" OD with a 2 Deg. crown and a 2.25" width. It also needed a bore of .001 over 5/8. The wheel body is aluminum and I sleeved the bore (steel). I had to put a sleeve...

    Dovetail Cutter

Well I have been at it again with the dovetail cutter!! I wasn't overly happy with the performance and how hard the cutters were hitting so I got some TPGB 321 Inserts and turned out yet another cutter. I had to make another one because the through hole in the TPGB Insert is smaller than the...
