  • Several Regions have held meetups already, but others are being planned or are evaluating the interest. The Calgary Area Meetup is set for Saturday July 12th at 10am. The signup thread is here! Arbutus has also explored interest in a Fraser Valley meetup but it seems members either missed his thread or had other plans. Let him know if you are interested in a meetup later in the year by posting here! Slowpoke is trying to pull together an Ottawa area meetup later this summer. No date has been selected yet, so let him know if you are interested here! We are not aware of any other meetups being planned this year.     They measure pretty flat. Checked with a engine Precision straight edge and my smallest feeler gauge.

    hey guys thanks for all the info my head is flat and within factory spec so I only need to worry about the manifold. I got some granite pieces and also have some extra anyone needs a piece let me know I figure I'm gonna start with 60 grit then 80 then finish 120 grit.

    So I went on Kijiji looking for some granite pieces i went all the way down to Okotokes, the guy wanted me to take all I only needed a few pieces to do some flat sanding I guess you can call it lapping I have about 6 pieces anyone need a piece let me know FREE

    What nobody here has a mill at home? I still would prefer to keep this within the hobbies community. but yeah Cast iron a much harder material than aluminum

    Ok sounds good think “outside the box”. Me being super newb here what sand paper grits should I start and finish with? I have feeler gauges and a precision strait edge for checking Cylinder heads and engine blocks. Basically follow this technique Resurface
