  • Several Regions have held meetups already, but others are being planned or are evaluating the interest. The Calgary Area Meetup is set for Saturday July 12th at 10am. The signup thread is here! Arbutus has also explored interest in a Fraser Valley meetup but it seems members either missed his thread or had other plans. Let him know if you are interested in a meetup later in the year by posting here! Slowpoke is trying to pull together an Ottawa area meetup later this summer. No date has been selected yet, so let him know if you are interested here! We are not aware of any other meetups being planned this year. If you are interested in doing something in your area, let everyone know and make it happen! Meetups are a great way to make new machining friends and get hands on help in your area.     I did a R0->R1 revision of this board, that has differential inputs (better noise immunity) and uses slightly larger components. I provided the PCB files to djberta and I believe he ordered a batch. In that R1 version I also made provision for ESP32 boards that are 0.1" wider as some varieties...

Then Mrs. Fox comes along and shortly after Mrs. Ground hog and the little ones are no more and the fox takes up residence, usually with 3 or so little ones...

    FWIW, I had an old engine sitting in an unheated garage for a good 5 years. I then pulled the heads and to my surprise there was still a film of oil on the cylinders and no rust at all.

    I had one of those cheapie VFDs fail, others seem to be happy with them. I have had great success with used name brand VFDs with external brake connections and vector control that provides low speed torque. Mostly eBay scores for <$100 zero failures so far. How low you can go depends on: 1)...

    I have to say I like the retro look but I wouldn't be surprised if the new one weighs an extra 1000lbs so performance might be snappy with the V6 it's not going to be fast. Now if you can shoehorn a V8 in there, might be able to make a go of it;-)

    If you can live with something similar in metric like a M2, Aliexpress is a great source and probably a lot less expensive.
