Welcome from Ottawa. My first mill was a LC30, I did a lot of mods to it. It was a great mill to learn the basics with. Have fun

    Separate Jacobs chuck from CAT40

Do you think it would be easy to separate this chuck from the CAT40 arbor? I don't have wedges, assuming the CAT40 is hollow all the way through perhaps a tap with a punch from the draw bar end? Assuming that end comes off? Or perhaps I would need wedges?

    CX706 sale price?

It will likely come down to what the buyer wants. When I sold my highly souped up round column mill the buyer appreciated all the upgrades and was willing to not only pay the full asking price but to let me continue to use it for three months while I made parts to add CNC capability to my new...

    Jacobs Super Chuck or clone?

My new lathe has a MT3 tailstock, my old one has a MT2. One option is to purchase new arbors and use my old chucks. Another option is to get a new or good used chuck. New Jacobs are pretty spendy, Ali type clones are less expensive but I'm not sure how they compare, anyone try one? If someone...
