    Solitary Bee House

I can appreciate my wife's love of gardening. I can listen attentively for a decent length of time. Then, once there's an opening in the one-sided conversation I will start talking electronics. Within seconds she realizes coffee break is over and it's time to go our separate ways for a bit.:)

    Solitary Bee House

@skippyelwell After your earlier comment I have been reading more about the life cycle. Sounds like I should be removing the houses and storing them in a place that protects them over winter (unheated shed). Then place it back outside in the spring for the bees to hatch. I will build a...

    Solitary Bee House

Just going by what I read, not what I know: "Select a design that is easy to clean and discard tubes after they have been used. Shop Dangerous shop lights

I think that says it all. I don't blame people for trying to get the best bang for their buck but electrical devices/appliances that are going to be plugged-in and left unattended at times are not worth going cheap on. Unfortunately the majority of people do not understand the safety risk of...

Missing wires on a 3hp motor

Don't know if this helps or makes it more confusing showing a similar dual voltage motor and how the thermal overload is wired: With P1 missing entirely it is possible that it was originally connected to the thermal switch. Do you have a manufacturer's name? Maybe it is possible to get a...

Missing wires on a 3hp motor

According to the motor wiring diagram T1 is either connected to T8 for CCW or T5 for CW. The thermal overload cuts power to the motor by "opening the circuit". With that in mind T1 on one side and P1 on the other wouldn't make sense.
