    Shoulder check

My son's 2010 Mazda 6 has the detectors, too. Maybe the tech has improved? On occasion he gets a false alert when near an object like a concrete boulevard. I was with him on one such occasion where he was switching lanes and assumed the nearby concrete boulevard that he was getting closer to...

    Shoulder check

Shoulder checking and turn signals are driving 101 in my opinion. Taught all three of my kids how to drive in preparation for their driver's license exams and you need to do both to pass. After that, time will tell if you are a good driver or not. So far, only one accident on an icy road...

I put this bucket of tools together years ago. Has a bunch of tools that I reach for fairly often. Seemed like a good idea by itself until you fill it with tools and need to get to the other side. Then I built the rotating base. Now all the tools are accessible at all times.

A near miss and big consequences

“That which does not kill you makes you weaker, and will probably kill you the next time it shows up” - Norm Macdonald @Dabbler The first time I heard Norm make that comment I laughed out loud. When it comes to physical recovery I think Norm's twist on Nietzsche's famous quote is more often...

    Solitary Bee House

True. I am wondering if the housekeeping is needed because it's a man-made house? In addition to the house I built maybe I could try growing some native plants that solitary bees use as homes. Then get out of the way and let nature do it's thing.
