  • Several Regions have held meetups already, but others are being planned or are evaluating the interest. The Calgary Area Meetup is set for Saturday July 12th at 10am. The signup thread is here! Arbutus has also explored interest in a Fraser Valley meetup but it seems members either missed his thread or had other plans. Let him know if you are interested in a meetup later in the year by posting here! Slowpoke is trying to pull together an Ottawa area meetup later this summer. No date has been selected yet, so let him know if you are interested here! We are not aware of any other meetups being planned this year. If you are interested in doing something in your area, let everyone know and make it happen! Meetups are a great way to make new machining friends and get hands on help in your area.     I am not a fan of how most software is being sold on a subscription basis only; however that seems to be the direction the industry is going so taking advantage of anything and everything "free" makes sense to me.

    Why the hesitation? Are you having trouble with Fusion 360? YouTube and Udemy have some really good resources for people getting started in Fusion. These two guys are among my favourites: As far as using it for 3D printing, it's relatively painless since you don't have to generate tool paths...

    I have a Creality Ender 3 Pro and it's been a great machine with lot's of opportunity for aftermarket upgrades. The price tag is much cheaper than the Dremel and the money saved would allow for some great upgrades...like a direct drive MicroSwiss hot end...
