Bambu Labs to implement an authorization and authentication protection mechanism

Did a bit more searching. Halfway down this page is a link to the key extraction. Item 12. Ouch. https://wiki.rossmanngroup.com/wiki/Bambu_Lab_Authorization_Control_System#LAN_mode_and_blocked_internet_access

Bambu Labs to implement an authorization and authentication protection mechanism

From my older brother, 50+ years as a systems programmer. This meant that any user that cracked the private key theoretically has access...

    Show us your shops!

Go to Enterprise with the police report, photos, and license plate info. Point out the driver claims he wasn’t the one who rented the truck. Unless the renter listed the driver on the rental agreement, the insurance is void and Enterprise might be willing to give you the drivers name.

New Lathe Bits DCMT21.51 Amazon Gamble

First try with new 1/2” DCMT21.51 holders & bits from Amazon, just wanted to see if they would be as good or bad as various reports describe. Test piece of 316 stainless pipe. Quite pleased with results, very nice finish, and able to run my BB B2227L lathe at the Machinery Handbook 200 SFM...

    help making small hinges

One way would be a 3/16” or 1/4” concave cutter. Slab of brass, mill to a tee shape to get the hinge ears, run a concave cutter to get the rounded profile, cut apart. Not cheap, but how much is SWMBO’s approval worth? https://www.kbctools.ca/itemdetail/5-703-025

    Oh GREAT!

Sounds like the Bambu printer thread. Just bought a wi-fi-enabled dishwasher. How long before I have to buy Bosch-approved detergent, or pay a monthly subscription fee?

    New puzzle (mosquito)

Machine a tapered collet, one end threaded 5/16” UNC, other end with an internal shoulder that fits the groove on the pin. Cut it in half lengthwise. Machine a mating internal taper sleeve. A nice solid chunk of tubing big enough to make a bracket to pull the collet and sleeve. A chunk of 5/16”...
