    Right to Repair

Nice repair @jcdammeyer A friend (electrician) asked me, recently, to repair a board for him. His daughter's dryer. Small switch on PC board failed so he decided that he should unsolder and resolder. His first question to me was asking if the copper is glued on or something cause it seems to...

    Radius turning

I stumbled across this article while surfing. Thought that, as basic as it is, illustrates an application of other tools to get the job done in a pinch. In this case, for those of us with out a ball cutter. https://www.kitplanes.com/second-thought-tie-down-eye/

I recently picked up a Lincoln MIG Pack 10...

I have had 2. Bought the first one new, then sold it when I got a 240 vac machine, then missed the versatility of it, and stumbled into one on kijiji when I bought another stick machine he was selling. I keep it at camp for little jobs. A friend took it out to the airfield many years ago to work...

    1.5” round die holder

Seeing as the plastic tray in my tap and die box is falling apart, this looks like a great project. One for metrics, one for imperial, small one for pipe dies..... @Janger you taking orders? :-)

    Hangar door suggestions

Makes sense. Looking more closely at the photos I took, I see that some improvements could be made to the center beam too. Luckily, I have 14 foot steel I beams that yearn for a purpose. This might be one. I am still getting acquainted with the project.

    Hangar door suggestions

I had not seen that one. It would look funny on my rotten little hangar, but good conversation starter....:D

    Hangar door suggestions

Yes, one reason (of many) that as much as I would like to build the vertical bifold, I was stumbling on a brake system. Simplest would be a belay system but a solenoid on a brake shoe would be a fun project and not too difficult I don't think. Another vote for Horizontal bi fold. Not as cool...

    Hangar door suggestions

Attached is the photo of the inside of the door truss. I never really looked at it up close, like the photo shows. Kind of a surprise when I viewed it on the laptop. Water damage on the front sheating so it will be good to replace that/add to it. The structure looks more like 2x4 than 2x6. Just...
