  • Several Regions have held meetups already, but others are being planned or are evaluating the interest. The Calgary Area Meetup is set for Saturday July 12th at 10am. The signup thread is here! Arbutus has also explored interest in a Fraser Valley meetup but it seems members either missed his thread or had other plans. Let him know if you are interested in a meetup later in the year by posting here! Slowpoke is trying to pull together an Ottawa area meetup later this summer. I think my post was a little confusing. I was only trying cuts as small as 0.003 to try to alleviate chatter. Nothing helped with chatter. Overall I have much more to remove. I think I will explore other options that have been suggested to me. Steady rest, step cutting, etc. Perhaps I will...

    Belt Sander Electrocution

Humidity level in the shop? Can you bring it up? Any idea what it is? Typically, we get static shocks in the winter time when the air is dryer. OK. Thanks for the input. I was wondering if one type of spray foam had advantages over another. But I was thinking more the sanding/shaping aspect. Will get some low expansion foam tomorrow.

No, I am still at the fitting stage. The one labelled "cowling mod" is where I am at. I built up bondo until the gap was filled under the new intake, then I am going to take a contour out of the old cowl to make a better transition into the new intake. That is where I am going to try spray foam.
