    Car designs suck

I think it has a lot to do with how people are raised. Both the parents and grandparents of my wife and myself never threw away anything away from a used button to a car and everything in between. Only to be junked when it could no longer be repaired or modified. You never know when that old...

    Car designs suck

The only option use to be for a Harley Davidson motorcycle was a pickup truck, for the electric go-carts it's a trailer hitch mounted generator. Just wait til the go-carters have to pay a road tax ( Alberta and Saskatchewan ), the electric utilities decide you need a dedicate time of usage meter...

Need to get drill bits for tapping

I did the electrical lighting design for the Bull Arm Oil Rig Fabrication Site back in the early 90's. It was done using metric lighting levels but the actual construction was awarded to a US company. Well the buggers thought the numbers were imperial. It was so bright you could read the...

If I remember correctly to pull an engine out of a old VW bug in the 70's was a matter of undoing 4 bolts and to pull a motor out of a 70's chevy...

Need to get drill bits for tapping

I agree. It is as bad as the industrial sewing thread size standards, metric, American standard, Asian standards and government standards to name a few. The funny thing is I 3D design in metric, use metric brass inserts for 3D printing designs and prototypes but when I use or convert to metal...

Need to get drill bits for tapping

I finally decided to purchased fairly inexpensive starter set m35 of 115 bits in a indexed metal case (1/16 inch -1/2 inch, A-Z, 1-60) off Temu. The way I looked at was until I figure out what sizes I will use the most having an assortment of cheaper ones will probably do initially. When a drill...
