  • Several Regions have held meetups already, but others are being planned or are evaluating the interest. The Calgary Area Meetup is set for Saturday July 12th at 10am. The signup thread is here! Arbutus has also explored interest in a Fraser Valley meetup but it seems members either missed his thread or had other plans. Let him know if you are interested in a meetup later in the year by posting here! Slowpoke is trying to pull together an Ottawa area meetup later this summer. No date has been selected yet, so let him know if you are interested here! We are not aware of any other meetups being planned this year. If you are interested in doing something in your area, let everyone know and make it happen! Meetups are a great way to make new machining friends and get hands on help in your area. Don’t be shy, sign up and come, or plan your own meetup!

    Pushrod tubes

The ball nose cutter profile has no bearing on fitment ... it's only there for pretty (and so you can ask about it <grin>). The pushrod tube angle is taken up by the o-ring compressibility. I didn't harden any of the contact surfaces. If I recall correctly, the rocker adjuster was made from...

    Pushrod tubes

    "Mcgyver" Nut drivers

After being reminded of an excellent way to solve my "I never have the correct size handy" problem, I made my own set of BA and Imperial nut drivers. Thanks again for the inspiration to actually do this. Now I just need to do some tests to see if milling a flat on each handle and engraving the...

    Pacific Fasteners in Burnaby

If you are asking about Tracey Tools ... I have dealt with them. Purchased some HSS BA taps and dies from them and they seem to be of good quality. They are certainly nicer to use than some carbon steel ones I had earlier. They did what was asked of them without fuss. If you are asking about...

    Minnie Traction Engine (1" scale)

Thanks again for all the kind feedback. The crank is built-up. The webs were silver soldered to a full length shaft and the connecting rod shaft. The excess shaft between the webs was then cut away.
