  • Several Regions have held meetups already, but others are being planned or are evaluating the interest. The Calgary Area Meetup is set for Saturday July 12th at 10am. The signup thread is here! Arbutus has also explored interest in a Fraser Valley meetup but it seems members either missed his thread or had other plans. Let him know if you are interested in a meetup later in the year by posting here! Slowpoke is trying to pull together an Ottawa area meetup later this summer. No date has been selected yet, so let him know if you are interested here! We are not aware of any other meetups being planned this year. If you are interested in doing something in your area, let everyone know and make it happen! Meetups are a great way to make new machining friends and get hands on help in your area. Don’t be shy, sign up and come, or plan your own meetup!

International Day of the Drill Grinder?

One province and about 24 hrs driving, unless the Alberta clipper arrives tonight, west of you. Unfortunately don’t have the time to take my Osborn apart to get measurements right now. I’ve seen a few Clarksons, but I’ve never used one of their drill pointers, so not sure I’m much help. I’ll...

Perhaps wrong time wrong place. Unfortunately from what I’ve seen, ebay is mostly a wasteland with only individual...

Let's undertake yet another project - Jackson No. 2 Vertical Milling Machine

That looks like a useful, nicely proportioned mill. Also perfectly sized for a scraping/rebuild project if needed/desired.

    Show us your shops!

Yeah, quite the topic wander (sorry), but that may have something to do with poor education of women, esp in the north of India, and lack of contraception leading to huge numbers of kids/Mom. On the other hand, seeing machine shops in India is quite the education on what can be done with...

    Show us your shops!

If you really want to be shocked, try India. Code? What code. Geysers on 240v without gfi etc? Sure why not…
