    Fusion CAM help

When you select the pocket, are the red arrows inside or outside the pocket? I cheated and opened the file "Intro to 2D Machining_Complete v1" and looked at what was in there. Thanks for reminding me there are tutorials for Fusion baked in. I really should look at them rather than blindly...

Rongfu round column mill VFD install.

You should be able to ensure the VFD doesn't restart after a power outage (or any fault). Look at the user manual, and adjust the "ATR" functions value to "no". (pg 62 of the pdf linked below)...

    How are work offsets calculated

Are you adding the Tool Length Offset (G43 H#) to your tool change? A tool change line should be something like T5 G43 H5 M6 where the tool is #5, and it is going to use tool length offset of tool #5 (G43 H5)

I don't know squat about web pages. However, I can click buttons. Right click on the image in my browser and select "Inspect". Pulls up all sorts of web related stuff including errors that the page is experiencing. Forgive me if this have been done already. Is there any support from XenForo

Tips/Techniques Making the Square Drive hole in a custom socket.

Honestly this looks a bit like how the one in the picture is made. I'd grab a spare impact socket (not plated) and use that as the drive end, and the pipe end is simple turn and slot. Now if you want to use the shaper, then go ahead no reason not to, just more work but a good learning opportunity.

    Novakon NM-200 upgrade from mach3

No tips on transitioning from Mach to Pathpilot, but I do have my Emco Compact 5 running LinuxCNC and actually want to try Pathpilot, but that is a rainy day activity somewhere down the list, cause I know with the tool changer its going to be a gong show getting it to play nice with Pathpilot...

    Anycubic Kobra S1 Combo

I think what bothered me most about the slicer was that the "Help" menu didn't help at all! I get that its a 98% derivative of the open source Orca Slicer, but as they have branded it for themselves, they should take the initiative to add a few things to it like a searchable help document. Oh...

Tips/Techniques Show your shop related 3DP

No, Loc line was a long ago purchase from Banggood. 10 pack with shutoff valves for $10 or so many years ago now. I've used up about half of them now on various projects, I think that was a good buy. I just saw a video (Blondihacks) where 3DP loc line is troublesome due to failure at the layer...

    Anycubic Kobra S1 Combo

Its been a almost 2 weeks, and so far I'm satisfied with the Kobra S1 combo. I think I half qualify as a complete amateur as the last 3D printing I did was back in 2020 and things seem to have changed a fair bit since. My biggest complaint is the lack of tutorial / documentation / etc. by...
