I feel for you. I have a relative that is like that. I am sure that it is worth the effort.

What does a hydraulic follower accessory do & what are they worth

I have a tracer on my lathe and use it occasionally. Where I find it handy is making multiple parts. For one offs too much time spent on setup or making the pattern. As far as the price I can't help you there as there are different levels of tracers. Mine was installed from the factory and works...

Different runs, fitting type and sizes makes me think that the manufacture got something wrong in the process. I suspect you are going to become very proficient at replacing those fittings.

Last time I...

    Relocation of oiler port

Another option would be to make an L shaped mounting bracket the would go over top of the gib screw and drill the mounting holes to the left of screw. Down side is that you would have to remove the scale to adjust the gib.

    Relocation of oiler port

If you are going to drill I would be taking it apart and to check it can be done and to prevent swarf from getting into the lubrication system. Cast iron is nasty stuff. I cannot tell from the picture, does the scale sit right on top of the carriage and cover the oiler? If there is room between...

    ABS Pipe Annular Cutter

Good idea. A variable speed right angle drill might have been handy for that job.

    Relocation of oiler port

In my experience with oil holes they are sometimes located to feed into a channel or line that takes oil to where it is required. I would take it apart and see how it is constructed.
