Installing a DRO on a Hartford Bridgeport Clone.

I was using a cordless that runs at 2000 RPM and found that not using any lube worked the best for me. Just speculating here, but the slow speed and lubricant/coolant might work against you.

    AMMCO shaper

You are looking at that from the wrong perspective. If I have it what can I do with it. :) Nice looking machine. Too bad it is so far away.

I have tried these Hymnorq bits off of Amazon and have been pleasantly surprised with them. https://www.amazon.ca/Migiwata-Extremely-Resistant-Straight-Stainless/dp/B078YLRFRD/ref=sr_1_36?crid=W1NSA8SWGUXB&keywords=drill+bits+for+metal&qid=1647354524&sprefix=drill+bits%2Caps%2C164&sr=8-36 I...

    Rotary Table Disassembly help

Exactly. I tried using the solid tube ones but found that the flexible worked better especially on oilers that are on a horizontal surface or tucked under a handle or dial.

Great idea, I am sure my wife would like one like that. I had this made up a few years ago.

Used 6 inch swivel casters- FREE

Too far for me as well. I picked up a bunch of used castors and attached them to 24 X 18 3/4 inch plywood. I have my rotary table, dividing head and four jaw chuck on them and slide them under my work bench out of the way. Makes them easier to get at and move into place.

    Rotary Table Disassembly help

Nice job of cleaning it up. For oiling I use these: They can be bought at Canadian Tire for 10.49. I use them for way oil as well as ISO 68 and they work great. Seal up on the gits fairly well. https://www.canadiantire.ca/en/pdp/motomaster-oiler-500-ml-0282510p.html?_br_psugg_q=oil+can

Wow that is a pretty old for a Portie. Our old guy is close to 14. It would be difficult to be without a dog.

    Finished Basement Workshop?

We have had Porties for over thirty years. They do like a lot of attention and need supervision as they are pretty busy. Ours are constantly with my wife, if she is not giving them attention when they want it they will come looking for me as I am second best in their books.
