Arbutus has also explored interest in a Fraser Valley meetup but it seems members either missed his thread or had other plans. Let him know if you are interested in a meetup later in the year by posting here! Slowpoke is trying to pull together an Ottawa area meetup later this summer. Tools you waited too long to acquire

South Western Ontario sir. Since I do way more than just machining, and it was a gift from my wife lol, I don't mind having one. Good for automotive troubleshooting, home insulation as mentioned (has been great while I finish my basement to find spots that need attention), electronics stuff...

If you're nearby, I'd happily bring it by for you to try out. The FLIR One devices that use your phone are more affordable...but yeah, thermal cameras aren't cheap. Anything under $1000 is considered cheap, most higher end FLIR standalone devices are thousands.

Have you considered a thermal camera instead? FAR more useful than a little laser thermometer. I have the Seek Reveal Pro - really good bang/buck for a 320x240 sensor. I rarely grab my cheapo Canadian Tire laser thing anymore.

best way to move 160 lbs from calgary / edmonton to Hamilton

Three parts 162lbs? So it can get broken down into smaller amounts? Under 100lbs or so, shipping via the normal mail isn't too crazy.

Tool Let's Get This Started - Tool Test Tuesday

Another actual Tuesday and continuing the Dewalt trend :) Soooo much better than the old style adapter, I just wish it was say $50 not $100+.

110% worth it. Though if you're near by, borrowing it for a weekend could be in the cards :)

Tool Let's Get This Started - Tool Test Tuesday

LoL why did you buy them that way? I have just a couple 12v tools, a LOT of 20v tools, and a few 60v tools. At least the 60v batteries work on the 20v tools. I used to have their older 18v stuff but sold it off once I replaced all of it with the newer 20v stuff. I've got nothing against Ryobi...
