    Tool Post Grinder

Any idea where to source the thinner disk type wheels. I found some on Amazon that are courser and 1 1/2 inch diameter but when I got them they are a 6 mm shank and don't fit my 1/4 inch chuck. THANKS

    Tool Post Grinder

Back in the 1970's I purchased an electric Craftsman Die grinder for a job I was doing. Shortly after I found the matching tool post mount on clearance at Sears. I even still have the collet reducer to use 1/8 shank stones. They've been on the shelf ever since so last week I dug them out and...

I'm not sure where your located. If you can an Industrial Supply is the way to go. I use Blackfoot Industrial in Calgary. They sell in any quantity small or large and appear not to have any minimum. Prices and stock are way better than Hardware stores. Great guys to boot.

    Boring Times in the shop

No commercial parts involved. I started with some cold rolled steel and machined the end to 1/2 the thickness and rotated it in the vise to get the flat portion parallel to the mill table. The pocket was milled with a 1/8 inch end mill. I set the angles by rotating the milling vise. For the bars...

    Boring Times in the shop

YES. I was not pleased with the finish on the 1 inch bar. My bottle of JAX is getting contaminated from reuse. I guess I should be discarding it after every use. If I get some new I'll sand of the old and do it over.
