  • Several Regions have held meetups already, but others are being planned or are evaluating the interest. The Calgary Area Meetup is set for Saturday July 12th at 10am. The signup thread is here! Arbutus has also explored interest in a Fraser Valley meetup but it seems members either missed his thread or had other plans. Let him know if you are interested in a meetup later in the year by posting here! Slowpoke is trying to pull together an Ottawa area meetup later this summer. STL files now allowed as attachments

Maybe autodesk would let chmw be educational? For non commercial activity. We could form a study group, have a recurring fusion “lesson” and chmw cad certificate.

Tool Laser Level options? what do I need? what do I want? what to look for?

I 'need' a laser level. Or at least I would like one. There are a bewildering number of them for sale with a crazy range of prices from $40 for an el-cheapo amazon basics to many in the $80 to $250 range, and many even more than that. I know a few things that I want. - a horizontal, and...

If you like these models then go see real ones at the Henry Ford museum in Detroit. Just fascinating stuff there. Really worth the trip. Look at the gothic castings on this one. And the air force museum in Dayton, Ohio, not too far from Detroit.

Bambu Labs to implement an authorization and authentication protection mechanism

Another reason to buy Prusa instead of Bambu - I don't think the many valid concerns in this thread are present with Prusa - or at least they are greatly reduced. To get your file on the printer, you can walk it over, send it over the local lan, use the cloud - whatever. Use any filament you...

Bambu Labs to implement an authorization and authentication protection mechanism

I see all this from the lens of what do you want to do? Do you want to just print stuff? Or do you want to work on your printer and use cutting edge plug ins, third party apps, and other such mods? These are quite different use cases. Anyone reading all this might think there is a massive...

You can also do a mass update on a bunch of objects. Shift click the objects and then Right click to set a filament to all selected. Saves a lot of tedium. Prusa and bambu need to work on the filament selection UI - I find it extremely fiddly.
