  • Several Regions have held meetups already, but others are being planned or are evaluating the interest. The Calgary Area Meetup is set for Saturday July 12th at 10am. The signup thread is here! Arbutus has also explored interest in a Fraser Valley meetup but it seems members either missed his thread or had other plans. Let him know if you are interested in a meetup later in the year by posting here! Slowpoke is trying to pull together an Ottawa area meetup later this summer. No date has been selected yet, so let him know if you are interested here! We are not aware of any other meetups being planned this year. If you are interested in doing something in your area, let everyone know and make it happen! Meetups are a great way to make new machining friends and get hands on help in your area.     Recently took this down to the USA, made in Canada. Would the large pieces be cast? That frigging thing is heavy and a finger pincher. I gather it's to be mounted to a post and a rope hitched to it. I can't think of how any of those large pieces would be machined?

    I'm mostly house Milwaukee but I've had good luck with dewalt corded grinders. I actually don't have a lot of cordless tools, I'm mostly air operated. If I hadn't invested in pneumatic tools I probably would've made the switch to cordless. But years ago the cordless tools weren't what they are now

    The first version on the brass collar, I drilled a hole and used mechanics wire to attach the flag. That ended up ripping out. :rolleyes: So I thought use a hose clamp, had the collar turned so there was a boss for the hose clamp. The hose clamp is too large for the grommet on the flag...
