  • Several Regions have held meetups already, but others are being planned or are evaluating the interest. The Calgary Area Meetup is set for Saturday July 12th at 10am. The signup thread is here! Arbutus has also explored interest in a Fraser Valley meetup but it seems members either missed his thread or had other plans. No date has been selected yet, so let him know if you are interested here! We are not aware of any other meetups being planned this year.     if you have some brass you can put the crossfeed back together and turn a light press fit onto the boss and mill the top square then drill and tap 1/2-10 LH acme thread, then if you need make the 5/8-8 RH hell why don't I send you the ones I took out of mine there still quite useable,send me...

    that's what throws me off the compound dial is .100 yet the cross feed is.125 ,why didn't they just use a 5/8-10 on cross feed and have .100 on both dials, well ,I'll just have to pay more attention when I'm machining on occasions Tantalum ,Inconel, and Hastelloy

    well not really the thread for it but because the DRO stuff was so interesting and knowledgeable I'm sure someone can tell me why my English SM does 13 inch 2000 series lathe have a .125 cross feed dial on it when the cross feed screw is 5/8-8 acme is...there some kind of weird metric voodoo...
