  • Several Regions have held meetups already, but others are being planned or are evaluating the interest. The Calgary Area Meetup is set for Saturday July 12th at 10am. The signup thread is here! Arbutus has also explored interest in a Fraser Valley meetup but it seems members either missed his thread or had other plans. Let him know if you are interested in a meetup later in the year by posting here! Slowpoke is trying to pull together an Ottawa area meetup later this summer. Hot Start and Arc Force

A yes the old buzz box it works but compared to some of the mid grade Chinese machines it's comparing round steak to a top sirloin. They have a place but if your gonna buy a tombstone welder buy a AC/DC one avoid AC only. You can buy rods meant for AC welding but DC can burn pretty much...

Easy End Mill Sharpening Jig Project

Neat didn't know there was sine plate for that, mine is bit different model then the one shown. But they both use the air spindle so maybe the sine plate is universal?

Easy End Mill Sharpening Jig Project

Weldon makes a endmill sharping fixture for surface grinder but probly could be set up for use with dremel or bench grinder. There not overly expensive I bought one bit ago but haven't used it yet. https://www.ebay.com/itm/304783715943

    Shop turntable for grinders etc.

Im hoping to make something like when I get some free time, but smaller for a bench grinder stand so I can mount 2 grinders back to back. But I didn't want to plug in each grinder after spinning I just wanted to leave plugged in so I bought one of these rotating wire connectors and was gonna use...

    Aluminum methods….

Ye I would say it would work fine 27.8 volts at 35% duty cycle. You could run some pretty big wire with 28 volts comes with few more options too vs 275p and being able to plug into 110v and 220v is bonus but you'll probly want to be plugged into 220v. For best performance. Tig welding with 110v...

    Aluminum methods….

I would recommend starting a new thread once you have bought a machine and post your progress as you learn. The members who have welded aluminum and the members who are professional welders would probly be more then happy to give you pointers especially if you post pictures of your welds and...

    Aluminum methods….

I I'm sure there is some inflation but nothing as bad as those China direct machines. 140amp machines but only really do 90 amps at best. I welded some 1.25 qt100 with my mig machine and I ran hotter then I usually would for the size of plate had to turn it down a bit as I was digging in bit...

    Aluminum methods….

I would consider everlast welders if your budget is 3k or less. I own 3 everlast machines. Haven't had any trouble with em and I use them for industrial work but on a low volume scale. There mid size mig machine has enough amps and duty to do what you need. Power mig 275...

    Aluminum methods….

All good advice posted above. I would look into spool gun more then a push pull unless your gonna be making big fishing boat and or multiple boats. As there good price difference between the two. If you don't plan on doing lots of aluminum mig welding then I wouldn't worry about getting too...

No cheap forklift is without problems

I does have 2 single lip seals but there built into the gland nuts and held in place by composite pieces the only thing on the piston is a rubber seal of some sort and a wear band over top of rubber thing. The piston isn't really sealed by anything it and just floats in a groove.
