  • Several Regions have held meetups already, but others are being planned or are evaluating the interest. The Calgary Area Meetup is set for Saturday July 12th at 10am. The signup thread is here! Arbutus has also explored interest in a Fraser Valley meetup but it seems members either missed his thread or had other plans. Let him know if you are interested in a meetup later in the year by posting here! Slowpoke is trying to pull together an Ottawa area meetup later this summer. No date has been selected yet, so let him know if you are interested here! We are not aware of any other meetups being planned this year. If you are interested in doing something in your area, let everyone know and make it happen! Meetups are a great way to make new machining friends and get hands on help in your area.     Large thrust bearing, New

    New, large thrust bearing. I was going to use this for the base for my jib crane, but went a different way. Bearing is 5" OD, 3.5" ID and 1.5" high. $50 plus shipping....probably $20 depending on location.

    Four nice machine "foot pads"? Made in England. 3" OD, 1.5" High, 3/8" course thread. $30 for the set plus shipping......seems like nothing ships by Canada post for less than $20 these days. See my other ad for a large thrust bearing.

    Ok, rearranged the pics to show all the drills with the large mount in the first pic, and the smaller diameter mount in the second. The large mount is 1"x14 tpi and the smaller set are 5/8 x 18 tpi. Both of these sizes show up on my wall chart of thread sizes. The smallest sizes are 1.6 and 2 mm.

    The shortest one is about 1" and the longest 3". You can get an idea of the in between ones by comparing them in the pictures. If you have a specific need, I can let you know the closest size.
