    Tool Soldering iron recommendation

This is the one I have, similar to the one PeterT posted. The variable temperature setpoint is great for the obvious reasons, but I also use the iron to insert heat-set inserts in 3D printed parts. 400*C is way too hot for that so being able to set the iron at around 250*C is very handy...

The British pound, British machine tools, small spaces and die filers.

I’m naively assuming the teeth are the same shape, just in a different direction relative to the tang, but maybe that’s wrong. The follower piece prevents the work piece from lifting up on the up stroke. The die filers with the overarm support should be able to hold regular files “upside-down”...

The die filers with the over arm support can use regular files with a little bit of grinding

    C'ADventures

Variables could definitely help in some cases, but my point is that the capture design history should always be on by default. Why would you ever want it off?? Edit: This was posted at the same time as PeterT's post. My question is for no one in particular, I'm just having a whinge lol

Oh one other thing that is actively anti-user friendly about fusion that David just reminded me of, if you are opening non-native file types in Fusion 360, you have to manually toggle on "Capture Design History" for every new part, before you start making any changes to the part. There is a...

    C'ADventures

I only have experience with Fusion and SolidWorks so far, and between the two, Fusion is much less user friendly. My biggest gripe is how much it relies on the user to click on things which sounds stupid, but if you know, you know LOL. It also hides lots of the relationships in sketches by...

I actually ordered that Hemingway kit earlier this week! It ended up being about $250 shipped, and I have a hunch there will be more duties once it lands in Canada. I'll let you all know how it goes!

Other Nitrile glove alternatives for allergy/sensitive skin?

I can see how that was miscommunicated! I appreciate your enthusiasm and for suggesting alternatives LOL. I think I'm going to order some of these 'colloidal oatmeal' gloves off amazon and I'll let everyone know how they turn out.

Other Nitrile glove alternatives for allergy/sensitive skin?

@Degen thanks for the suggestion, I'll look into that. I am comfortable with nitrile gloves around rotating equipment. I have gloves similar to what @Chicken lights suggested for handling large sharp objects, but I wouldn't wear those around rotating equipment. @Susquatch I think you missed...

Other Nitrile glove alternatives for allergy/sensitive skin?

I used to never wear gloves as well, but removing gloves is way faster than washing hands, so they work better for me. Washing my hands in the house means I need to remove my shoes and brush myself down so I don't carry chips through the house. And besides, your partner might be more receptive...
