Shop Adding 240V circuit to detached garage that already has 120V circuit?

Maybe this is more appropriate for the off-topic forum, but it's shop related. I am currently renting a property without a garage/workspace, and am using my parents garage (15 min drive away) for my workspace needs. I am considering new rental opportunities which include a garage so I could work...

    Xyphota's bicycle related projects

Yup, thats right! The zero point on the scale is at the center of the rotation on the rotary table, so as long as the hole saw cutting axis coincides with the rotary table axis, the only dimensions needed to miter the tube is the center to center distance of the miters on opposite ends of the...

    Xyphota's bicycle related projects

You may be disappointed by how simple the front triangle fixturing is haha. They are the Alex Meade flat plate fixturing tools. I bought them 2 years ago second hand before I purchased my mill and lathe, and if I had known I was going to end up purchasing a mill before starting my first frame I...

    Xyphota's bicycle related projects

Inspired by @David_R8 's popular shop thread, and especially @eotrfish's gorgeous fly reels thread, this thread will contain mostly bicycle related projects. Over the last few months, most of my shop time has been spent fabricating up jigs and fixtures that will aid in the fabrication of a...

Can you post a picture of your potentiometer? H & L in your schematic wired to the outside legs, and...

    Reading Electrical Schematic Question ?

I found this manual on google, I'm assuming it is applicable to your drive. https://www.hitachi.us/supportingdocs/forbus/inverters/Support/WJ200_Instruction_NT325X.pdf If you scroll down to section 3, it will explain how to change the parameter or function settings. 3-12 (or page 93 on the...

    Reading Electrical Schematic Question ?

Well assuming the wiring is good, as you say it looks pretty straight forward, you might need to change one of the settings within the VFD? On the few VFD's i've setup, you'll be referencing the manual to change some numbered parameter to tell the VFD to use the potentiometer as the speed reference.

    Reading Electrical Schematic Question ?

Did you intend to attach a photo? I don't know about your VFD, but on the cheap huanyang I wired up, the speed control potentiometer needed the wires manually added to the Vcc and ground references in addition to the signal wire. Can you post a picture of both the breakout board...
