Arbutus has also explored interest in a Fraser Valley meetup but it seems members either missed his thread or had other plans. Let him know if you are interested in a meetup later in the year by posting here! Slowpoke is trying to pull together an Ottawa area meetup later this summer. Little one day projects

Quick little job this afternoon. I have an oil can for the way oil on my lathe but the tip was too big to fit the ball oilers without always ending up with as much or more oil around the port as in it. The tip is epoxied onto the flex spout, so I could not just replace it but I did make a new...

    Other Fault? Machine or User?

My thinking is that I know the limitation is me, so I'll try to eliminate machine or tool issues from the equation by having the best I can afford.

    New CX 601 Mill

I would start by checking all the electrical connections and switches. These chinese built machines often have poorly attached wiring terminals and connectors.

    Shop If I had a million+ dollars, I'd build a...

I recall some saying about nature and vacuums and a relationship to garages and stuff. My original garage was 24'w x 32'd pretty much at the limits of the basic bylaw allowances. I filled it and wanted more space, so several years ago I pled my case to the city and after much wrangling...

Machine A new toy for the shop.

I ended up getting one of these machines too. Got it set up on a base and did a bit of fine tuning. Managed to do the repair to my motorcycle bag and did a couple other small jobs. Once it's set up, it sews pretty well. I like that I can go slow being hand cranked. I found a facebook group all...
