    Ammco 6" Metal shaper

Nothing wrong with Fiats, they were certainly much more reliable than the MGs and Triumphs of that era.. I had '74 124 Sports Coupe . Well not an Alfa Junior , it was pretty close. The previous owner had pulled the pollution controls off. It had 98hp at the rear wells., not bad on a 2,200# car...

Tips/Techniques Making the Square Drive hole in a custom socket.

A square hole is needed for mounting the tool on that must have shaper accessory, the one for internal cuts. Of course you could just buy one of those cheap 3/4" BusyBee boring bars and weld it on a clapper bracket. LOL. For a broach, I was thing of grinding an end of HSS tool blank like those...

Thanks for the background story Tony. You were lucky. That is a beautiful kitchen. Every time your wife is in the kitchen, she can see what you made for her. My oldest son and I can carry on a conversation by just using the odd word. We think that much alike. He also shares my love of...

Tips/Techniques Making the Square Drive hole in a custom socket.

I'm afraid there is more than a little truth to my joking about the braille method. Welding will trigger migraines in me unless unless I use shade # 11 . Then it's pretty hard to see anything. I bought a paternmakers tool box . It had E.A.Berg and W. Marples wood chisels among other fine woodworking tools . It was then Reid, who was selling these for a friend, asked me what this was over here. It was a baby 6" shaper. It's my project now.

New to me RF 45 ..... In the shop

I'm far, very far, from being an expert. But in my struggles, I did learn my VFD has a 24 volt output. When that is used. it's called source wiring. That was how I wired my switches for my lathe. You can use ordinary machine switches. I'm not sure that would be enough for your tach, though A...

    Miller 180 Autoset

Cheap wire is dirty wire. They make various wipers for ahead of the feed rolls. The liners need to be blown out once in while. My son would use a black spring paper clip and a felt ?? pad for his cheap flux-core.
