Yup, my ears are perked right up and I am downright pissed off........ Another classic case of being on the wrong side of the country. ...... Okay, I am on the right side, just not the side with the deal.

What is the best thing to clean Carb’s with a ultrasonic cleaner

Like David, I break it down as far as it will go minus pulling the butterflies and shafts. If the gaskets come off easily, I remove them, but generally I just leave it stuck to which ever half it's stuck to, not worth breaking them.

What is the best thing to clean Carb’s with a ultrasonic cleaner

I hadn't noticed it to be much different than pinesol, now that purple power cleaner definitely messes with the finish, but I have had success with it when other cleaners didn't work. But the result was an ugly carb on a running lawnmower that otherwise would be garbage to most people. I...

What is the best thing to clean Carb’s with a ultrasonic cleaner

Pinesol works well, as does simple green. A tip that I use, is to put the carburetor and as much solution as needed into a freezer bag, (a glass jar is better if you have one that fits the bill) to cover the part and eliminate as much air as possible. Then fill the cleaner with hot water. I...

    WTB 6'-10' metal planer BC

I recall maybe 10 years ago someone gave one away in the Kootenays. Was a beautiful piece, and I wanted so bad, but just no where to put it...... I am probably just going to have to settle for my shapers.

    DavidR8's shop shenanigans

Good lord, we can't catch a break around here no how....... Even a bloody postal strike looming somehow works to his advantage. I do feel a little bit better though when I think of how uncomfortable those horseshoes must be when he sits...... Jeepers! Is it possible that he can't...

    A maybe future project, maybe.

I was thinking something similar as well. And being relatively close to Esquimalt, a ship would be more likely. A cool piece either way, and a pretty solid table top.

    Really ?

You guys have no idea how much you are making me appreciate my decision to double down on my '78 Fords. I have far less money in both of them than any of the vehicles being mentioned here, and the only time they don't work is when I have one down for "upgrades". So, thanks guys, I am in such a...
