    if you have resin 3d printer to you disposal (or friend with one) you can try it printing in resin. You will get much more precise and detailed print without layers and filament artifacts, and paintable

    So this is exactly my concern. This thin plate may have only 1-1.5 turns of the thread. It would be easy to cross-thread it. I ordered thread checker of another kind just yesterday - Universal Thread Checker Inch & Metric on Ali. Will see how it works and feels.

    Looking for an insert

    I have 12" Hendey and 10" South Bend . I know that it has to be different sizes of the toolholders, but I hoped I can get away with same insert sizes. I am pure hobbyist - no production, no rush so smaller insert for bigger toolholder is very viable option.
