Where to get C02 gas in Calgary (cheap)

CO2 extinguishers aren’t cheap to buy, but part of that will be the cost of the vessel. I seem to recall @David_R8 looking at this not long ago. Beverage distributor is indeed another option, a buddy used to buy the standard stainless steel CO2 tank for a rather elaborate beer fridge he had set...

Where to get C02 gas in Calgary (cheap)

Got a place that services fire extinguishers? They should be able to fill CO2 no problem assuming they don’t have a problem with your tank.

    Forbidden

For me it’s been sporadic. I’ve not been forbidden to access but there have been occasions recently when it’s been painfully slow to the point I just give up for a while. Never sure if it’s on my end or not. Using Safari on my iPad with OS14 as of yesterday. There’s been lots of software (Win as...

    Oxy/fuel rig

I don’t think I’d ever even heard of oxy-propane before you brought it up but I’m not big on that end of things. I’ve had a brand new propane forge for almost ten years already and I have yet to fire it even once (resist exclamation mark). I am looking forward to your progress though, it’ll be a...

    Source for stepped pulleys

This may be way out in left field but there’s a gear reduction unit on UsedVic right now for not much dollars. Puts the pulleys at 90 degree opposed and I have no idea what the ratio is, but I bet you could get it for $50 if you wanted to try it. Been up since June. -frank

    Source for stepped pulleys

You could do either. I’ve made 4-step pulleys from scratch before and it is doable although a lot of work. And waste. Trouble can come from not having enough swing to get in front of that big diameter with your compound and toolpost so you end up having to come at it from the side using a...
