  • Several Regions have held meetups already, but others are being planned or are evaluating the interest. The Calgary Area Meetup is set for Saturday July 12th at 10am. The signup thread is here! Arbutus has also explored interest in a Fraser Valley meetup but it seems members either missed his thread or had other plans. Let him know if you are interested in a meetup later in the year by posting here! Slowpoke is trying to pull together an Ottawa area meetup later this summer. No date has been selected yet, so let him know if you are interested here! We are not aware of any other meetups being planned this year. If you are interested in doing something in your area, let everyone know and make it happen! Meetups are a great way to make new machining friends and get hands on help in your area.     Hey @YYCHM and @YotaBota - when I was shipping parts for the 9” donor lathe I ”think” Craig and I had a discussion about the clutch and its adjustment. I know I took pictures with the arrangement- perhaps they are still with the 9” Restoration thread? I can check with my Utilathe files ….

    The clutch is made up of several plates. If you have it apart they need to be stacked properly. Like plates 12 and 13 alternating. The spring provides release tension. As @YYCHM suggests you should be able to tighten the nut to increase the clutch slip.

    @Elektrishun : only a house either side quite a distance through the trees and behind us is 1000 acres of ponds and trees and side by side trails!! @SomeGuy : yep, trying to somewhat empty the crates for access. I don’t have a lot of stuff by any stretch but I have a lot of- LOL

    Anyone have some great ideas about small stock storage? Like cut off from longer rods, blocks etc. also gotta set up some threaded rod storage. Maybe some ABS tubes ….
