  • Several Regions have held meetups already, but others are being planned or are evaluating the interest. The Calgary Area Meetup is set for Saturday July 12th at 10am. The signup thread is here! Arbutus has also explored interest in a Fraser Valley meetup but it seems members either missed his thread or had other plans. Let him know if you are interested in a meetup later in the year by posting here! Slowpoke is trying to pull together an Ottawa area meetup later this summer. No date has been selected yet, so let him know if you are interested here! We are not aware of any other meetups being planned this year. If you are interested in doing something in your area, let everyone know and make it happen! Meetups are a great way to make new machining friends and get hands on help in your area.     Give me a bit and I will see if my CAD files still have it. You will need to verify measurements. I drew it up several years ago when contemplating making the gears. I aquired a metric Utilathe and didn’t keep going on the change gears.

    The one in your pics shows that it has the slots for the lathe dogs. Hard to say but a D1-3 integral face plate is cool. I have a D1-3 mount to a plate.

    The D1-3 “adaptor” plate looks like the “face plate” the lathe came with and the 4 jaw was poorly adapted to it. Very cool to have the original face plate for a Utilathe. Just saying

    So the 1020/1230 Utilathe swing more like 11 and 13. My gather is that “bigger was better” so the 10/12 were re-named the 11/13 series 2000 and then just on from there.
