New to me Bridgeport M head.

My apologies if anyone else was after this, but I was the first to reply. It is 3 phase 220v, I have to check the spindle MT2? It’s only 1/2hp, really cute with most of the features of the larger Bridgeport heads but still weighs 100 lbs.

    Tool Needing a press

@Susquatch Yes I do have a lathe or two. Definitely may require some bushings. @Mcgyver Thanks, I have never replaced spindle bearings before. I appreciate you giving me advice on fitting them.

    Tool Needing a press

Thanks for the link, something to consider. I am going to get apart and see what the spindle is doing for run out mounted in the lathe. It may end up being more of a drill than a mill. I have the MT3 reamer ready, hopefully get somewhat decent results. Then work forward on bearings. Thanks...

I’m at the point of replacing the spindle bearings for the mill/drill in the rebuild process. I have always got by with medium sized arbor press but I need something larger. How big do I need 20t? I don’t need anything huge but I don’t want anything undersized either. Thanks!

    CXvise3 vise reviews or insight

I know about BB, years ago I returned a machine and they couldn’t care less about the 1/2 dozen flaws in the design.

@Dan Dubeau Thanks so much on your review. It sounds adequate for what I want it for. I don’t think I will be stressing this vise too much I have the bigger mill.

@David Please if you can post a review, I see they are out of stock right now. Hopefully back in soon.

I was looking at my vise collection and I really don’t have anything smaller for the mill/drill. The stick out on a six inch is a bit much. I know these have been out for a few years now and hoping someone could give me some feedback. It’s hard to find much in this size. Thanks!
