  • Several Regions have held meetups already, but others are being planned or are evaluating the interest. The Calgary Area Meetup is set for Saturday July 12th at 10am. The signup thread is here! Arbutus has also explored interest in a Fraser Valley meetup but it seems members either missed his thread or had other plans. Let him know if you are interested in a meetup later in the year by posting here! Slowpoke is trying to pull together an Ottawa area meetup later this summer. No date has been selected yet, so let him know if you are interested here! We are not aware of any other meetups being planned this year. If you are interested in doing something in your area, let everyone know and make it happen! Meetups are a great way to make new machining friends and get hands on help in your area.     Definitely a great project from experience I don’t think you would be happy with the bleach/white look in 10 years of use, going to yellow for sure and look dirty. I would use a dye stain to enhance the grain . Did you get your hardware yet?

    @TorontoBuilder Good for you for rescuing! There was a unchipped dog found across the farm from us. Left there with a bag of dog food. Barely escaped the coyotes alive with multiple bites. Luckily the local rescue found the dog in time. I have 2x best thing in the world.

    I just have an intermatic brand one. Takes 5 minutes to install, just shut your main off first. We had a lightning strike here about 10 years ago, it took out Microwave, Washer, Furnace control panel, anything electronic not on a surge protector not wanting to go through that again. The worst...
