    ER hex collets

They have a store presence on eBay: https://www.ebay.ca/usr/hhindt?_trksid=p2047675.l2559 And on Amazon: https://www.amazon.ca/s?k=HHIP&ref=bl_dp_s_web_11468810011 Both avenues allow Canadian pricing. It's just one more option for when shopping around and it comes right to the mail box...

    ER hex collets

I have two square and two hex collet blocks in ER40. The first set I cheaped out on and they are about good for holding a drill bit for hand held sharpening but little else. Second set from HHIP was much better.

    Hillbilly Tool And Cutter Grinder

Hey man, nothing wrong with it if it works! Commercial tool grinders are expensive, that's a good piece of equipment to have.

I got it running to the functionality it had in its earlier life but as time goes on (and time allows) I can see where a number of improvements could be made to the machine. I think a better lubrication system, some limit switches for when running the auto table feed, some form of manual crank...

Sorry I didn't reply earlier, yes my channel name is Everett's Workshop. I certainly don't claim to be anything but a hobbyist, so if there is constructive criticism then I'm always up for learning better ways.

Hi Ggordon, good to get to know another "local," for sure (I'm about 1/2 hour west of you). That is cool if you're willing to offer XRF checking on samples, I have a few pieces I've been curious about as I can get lots of them for free (brake/suspension/chassis parts from heavy trucks). Was...

    Hello from Edmonton

I did a bit of TIG bronze buildup on a couple of damaged parts when fixing up my shaper. Still need more practice for sure, had a couple spots where it got a bit hot and melted the base cast, creating a few really hard spots. Never tried it on tubing, hopefully it would be easier.

Moving heavy things... on the cheap

I know it's not as massive an object as some others mentioned here but here's my $0.02 - 5 years ago at the Chrysler dealer I worked at I had to replace an engine. Problem was that the engine crane could not reach the engine once it was dropped onto supports when removed with the transmission...

    CAD Forum intro

Well, oddly enough tonight I started up Fusion360 to take screen shots of my stored drawings, and lo and behold now I can export pdf files of the drawings again when I couldn't even do so last night. Weird. Thankful I can at least get copies of my drawings but still going to look for a...

    CAD Forum intro

I don't mean to interrupt hardware discussions nor hijack this thread, but on the topic of CAD packages, does anyone here have experience with TurboCad 2D/3D Deluxe or ViaCad? I can't justify $650 a year for Fusion now that they changed licenses and now I can't even download or print pdf files...
