3D Printing - machines owned by members

I'm looking at the Ender 5 Plus, mostly for the build volume, for the dual drive screws operating the Z axis, and the double-ended motor for the Y axis. I hear the CoreXY of the Ender 6 sytems is faster, but I'm not worried about speed as it's not going to be a production machine that I need...

3D Printing - machines owned by members

I'm still saving my shekels for an Ender 5 Plus, all depends on how to save/make a bit for the hobby fund. Thankfully the garage build-out was negotiated with the CEO (Cheap Financial Officer) as a "cost of moving" so that comes from a different budget line, lol. But seriously, does anyone here...

    Wheeled RC Tank Build

I like the idea of using a standardized swappable battery like you are. Means your tools and toys use the same standard, lol. This is going to be cool.

Lol, thanks @Dabbler, you beat me to it. Hopefully I can get a build update up in the next week or so, the conduit and wiring is finally going in. I'm attaching these from.my phone, please forgive me if it causes formatting/stupid size issues.

Very cool! I'm in! The tank build will be cool to see, what sort of size vehicle you thinking so far? Going full on battle bot or something to run up and down the street to terrorize neighborhood cats, lol?

    THIS FORUM ROCKS!!!

Well @Chicken lights, at least once you get out of Ontario and into Manitoba a bit the roads straighten out a lot. Not sure how far west of Edmonchuk you need to go but thankfully our recent freezing rain will be done by the time you get out here!

I have some Knipex pliers off the Mac truck, rebranded as Mac. The side cutters are pretty much indestructible.

    Zip ties

The timing on this one is funny for me as just last night I threw out a pack of 11" white zip ties from PA. Was tying up wiring for my central vac and every single one of the 11 straps I tried didn't even tighten before the ratcheting tooth broke off. Had them for a year or so, but they...

New Guy in Grande Prairie AB.

Welcome! I used to live in the Sexsmith/GP area, can imagine you want to just stay inside and play with machine tools lately due to how cold it gets there, especially lately, lol! Granted, just west of Edmonton here isn't exactly tropical at the moment either, lol . . .
