  • Several Regions have held meetups already, but others are being planned or are evaluating the interest. The Ontario GTA West area meetup is planned for Saturday April 26th at Greasemonkeys shop in Aylmer Ontario. If you are interested and haven’t signed up yet, click here! Arbutus has also explored interest in a Fraser Valley meetup but it seems members either missed his thread or had other plans. Let him know if you are interested in a meetup later in the year by posting here! Slowpoke is trying to pull together an Ottawa area meetup later this summer. No date has been selected yet, so let him know if you are interested here! We are not aware of any other meetups being planned this year. If you are interested in doing something in your area, let everyone know and make it happen! Meetups are a great way to make new machining friends and get hands on help in your area.     Thx for the response, the scrap aluminum i have is basically all cutoffs from aluminum extrusion from work, i will be building a foundry in the near future as i have a lot of scrap to melt for aluminum machining. Any info on the subject will very good.

    this is my lighting set up from busy bee magnet base for the mill I installed the light permanently on the lathe in the existing ball and socket attachment

    I had Driver Direct pick up my lathe on an estate southwest of calgary and moved it to my place in the Hood my cost was 250.00 my lathe ways in roughly 3800 or better is what i am told

    not sure how those ring lights will work they seem cumbersome I can move my lights pretty much any where on the mill

    That's funny I installed the same tach on my lathe and does show more that what the lathe diagrams says The first one I got never worked so they sent me a replacement.

    One other thing i swapped all my shop lighting to LED now its like daylight in there its awesome
