  • Several Regions have held meetups already, but others are being planned or are evaluating the interest. The Ontario GTA West area meetup is planned for Saturday April 26th at Greasemonkeys shop in Aylmer Ontario. If you are interested and haven’t signed up yet, click here! Arbutus has also explored interest in a Fraser Valley meetup but it seems members either missed his thread or had other plans. Let him know if you are interested in a meetup later in the year by posting here! Slowpoke is trying to pull together an Ottawa area meetup later this summer. No date has been selected yet, so let him know if you are interested here! We are not aware of any other meetups being planned this year. If you are interested in doing something in your area, let everyone know and make it happen! Meetups are a great way to make new machining friends and get hands on help in your area. Don’t be shy, sign up and come, or plan your own meetup!

    I finally got some door parts made. the white door on the truck is the original. The shiny one is a new door skin from the sheet metal shop. They copied it exactly. I still need to actually build the door frame. But the hard part is done.

    No it is an Avion . It is much lighter than airstream at about 3800lbs

    Greaseable bearings are fine if you grease them. Here is a picture of my trailer for fun.

    I always go to transmission supply. I recently got Timken bearings for my RV for about $100 with seals. Yes I know that is more but they are probably better.:D

    My milltronics overtraveled last winter and it broke the timing belt. That was cheap thankfully.

    The car parts are from a balance shaft off a 2002 mitsubishi galant. A Volkswagen jetta also has the same pitch on its timing belt but it is wider. I did make some of the pulleys on a dividing head. But my only dividing head at the time was also home made.
