  • Several Regions have held meetups already, but others are being planned or are evaluating the interest. The Ontario GTA West area meetup is planned for Saturday April 26th at Greasemonkeys shop in Aylmer Ontario. If you are interested and haven’t signed up yet, click here! Arbutus has also explored interest in a Fraser Valley meetup but it seems members either missed his thread or had other plans. Let him know if you are interested in a meetup later in the year by posting here! Slowpoke is trying to pull together an Ottawa area meetup later this summer. In search of ...... Atlas 618 lantern tool post

It looks like my washer and rocker are about the same measurement as yours so I think yours are correct. I haven't located my old tool holders yet, I thought I might have them in my shop but maybe they are with the lathe. I didn't look for them when I retrieved the tool post as I didn't know...

    New Windows

From what I've read and gleaned over the years about windows pretty much agrees with what you said above if I've understood you right. My take is that energy savings alone from triple pane windows isn't enough to pay for the cost increase . Sound reduction may be something you are willing to...

I'll measure my washer and rocker and if they are smaller you can have them too. I know I did have both left and right tool holder but I also know I've repurposed at least one of them and I think I gave the other away to someone wanting to use it with a shaper. I'll check and let you know.

I actually am getting pretty close to having it look like a shop now. Still figuring out where to put stuff and am always looking for tools but it's at least workable now. The little Atlas lathe is packed up and stored elsewhere.

I'm actually quite sure I do have one but I have it crated up with the lathe in storage. I'll try to get to it later this week if that's OK with you.

Used and abused Robin bench vise

Here is something that I wasn't expecting....in the body of the vise of the cylinder that holds the screw in, was an area that was a very defined area of old grease and crud. I dug at it and low and behold beneath the gunk appears to be a leather strip that would act as a lubricator/wipe for the...

    Tool Solid Rivets

And for a better hold with pop rivets use SS steel rivets over the aluminum ones. I agree pop rivets are not for everything but sometimes it's all that is needed and it's easy and looks okay.
